TAP Air Portugal is encouraging travelers to explore multiple destinations within Portugal through its enhanced stopover program, now offering a 25% discount on any domestic flight for a second stopover. This promotion is designed to allow passengers to visit various parts of the country during their layover in Lisbon (LIS) or Porto (OPO).

How Does It Work?

Passengers booking a one-way or return ticket with a layover in Lisbon or Porto can avail themselves of this offer. This includes travelers from Europe to the Americas and other destinations within TAP’s medium and long-haul network. During the booking process on TAP’s website, passengers can select a stopover of 1 to 10 days. After booking, a 25% discount code will be sent via email, applicable to any domestic flight operated by TAP within the stopover period. This offer is valid for trips that may include multiple destinations and applies to both legs of the journey, including open-jaw tickets.

Where Can You Go?

The discount can be utilized across TAP Air Portugal's domestic network, including flights to the Azores and Madeira archipelagos. On the mainland, passengers can explore the Algarve via Faro Airport (FAO), renowned for its surfing, golf, and fishing villages. Travelers can also make a detour to Porto, known for its UNESCO World Heritage historic center and as the birthplace of port wine.

Lisbon and Porto offer flights to Madeira, with two airports: Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport (FNC) in Funchal and Porto Santo (PXO). The Azores, celebrated for their stunning landscapes and rich history, are served by TAP at Ponta Delgada (PDL) and Terceira (TER), both connected to Lisbon and Porto.

Additionally, passengers can explore Lisbon, rent a car, drive across Portugal, or venture into neighboring Spain and Gibraltar. For those focusing solely on the Azores, the home carrier Azores Airlines offers flights to several North American locations and has its own stopover package.
