TAP Partners with TCS to Enhance Airline Operations Through New Digital Center
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has opened its Aviation Digital Center in Alfragide, near Lisbon, Portugal, in partnership with TAP Air Portugal. This center is set to revolutionize TAP’s airline operations, offering practical improvements that will directly benefit passengers.
The newly established center aims to modernize TAP's system architecture, streamline operations, and enhance the customer experience. By leveraging advanced digital technologies such as cloud computing, data analysis, and automation, the center will help TAP offer more efficient and reliable flight services.
The Aviation Digital Center houses a team of consultants, solution architects, and technology experts. These professionals will focus on optimizing various aspects of TAP’s operations, from flight scheduling to maintenance procedures, ensuring smoother and more punctual flights.
This initiative is also part of the TCS European Delivery Network, serving as a nearshore facility for other global clients in the transportation sector. The center is expected to create more technology jobs in Portugal, contributing to the local economy and tapping into the country’s growing talent pool.
