In addition to the solar eclipse, you can explore the Hill Country wine region, which is the third largest in the United States, and breweries such as Jester King and Real Ale.

Accommodation options vary from yurts and shipping containers to treehouses and resorts where you might have giraffes as neighbors passing by your window. If rental prices seem too high, consider camping or opting for an overnight stay in Austin or San Antonio.

Other points of interest in this area, besides the famous peaches, include the cowboy capital of Texas - Bandera, as well as Kerrville.
