Thai Airways Revives Bangkok-Milan and Bangkok-Oslo Routes
Resurgence of Thai Airways' European Network
Thai Airways is gearing up to reinstate its flights to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) and Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL) starting July 1, marking a significant comeback since the hiatus that began in 2020. This revitalization signals a major step in the airline's efforts to bolster its European network post-pandemic.
Enhanced Connectivity from Bangkok
The daily services from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Milan and Oslo are poised to enhance the connectivity between Thailand and Europe. Utilizing the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for the Bangkok-Milan route, Thai Airways offers 298 seats across two classes, ensuring comfort and style. Similarly, the Bangkok-Oslo route will be served by the 348-seat Boeing 777-300ER, featuring both economy and business class options.
Flight Schedules and Availability
The Bangkok-Milan route, designated as TG904, is scheduled for a convenient overnight journey, departing Bangkok at 00:40 ICT and arriving in Milan at 07:35 CET. The return flight, TG941, leaves Milan in the early afternoon, ensuring a smooth return. For the Oslo service, flights TH954 and TG955 are similarly timed, facilitating easy travel plans for passengers.
Expanding Global Footprint
In addition to Milan and Oslo, Thai Airways is also expanding its global footprint with increased frequencies and resumed services on key international routes. This includes resuming flights to Perth Airport (PER) and introducing an additional daily service to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) using their Airbus A350-900XWB.
Milan Malpensa's Growing Network
2024 is shaping up to be a bustling year for Milan Malpensa, with a diverse range of airlines, including Thai Airways, expanding their operations. Despite the loss of ITA Airways' New York JFK connection, the airport maintains robust North American connectivity and is welcoming new long-haul services, such as those from Turkmenistan Airlines and the luxury all-business class airline Beond.
