There are millions of people living in London, but most of them do not like the northern neighborhood of Crouch End, which has been named the best place to live. The main disadvantage of living here is the lack of a nearby metro station.

Although for many people this seems like a disadvantage, Crouch End residents see certain advantages in being so far from the subway. More about them can be found on the MyLondon website.

As recently as 10 years ago, the area was home to up to 15 thousand people, but now the community has grown significantly and even attracted celebrities. Crouch End is located 8.2 kilometers from the City of London.

The writer Stephen King named one of his stories after the area, and locals consider the northern region of the capital to be "artistic" and "creative".

Crouch End is full of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and boasts lush green spaces. The absence of a subway is considered an advantage here, as it gives a certain amount of privacy and freedom from crowds of tourists.

However, there are several railway stations nearby, Hornsey and Harringay on the Great Northern line, and the Crouch Hill Overground station is not too far from Crouch End.

Local residents don't really need to travel to the center every time to find big shops, schools, places to work, or places to eat. Crouch End is a self-contained enough part of the city to provide for people's basic needs.
