The Best Pride Festivals Around the World to Visit This Year

In New York City, one of the most significant Pride festivals takes place. Throughout June, the city celebrates with events like Yankees Pride Nights and the documentary concert The Stonewall Jukebox. The main event will be the Pride March on June 30, starting at 11 a.m. from 25th Street and 5th Avenue.

Los Angeles is renowned for its Pride festival, which includes concerts and a parade. This year, L.A. Pride in the Park will take place on June 8, and the Pride Parade on June 9, starting at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. Among the participants are George Takei and JoJo Siwa.

Sydney's Pride lasts all of June, offering film screenings, exhibitions, cabaret shows, and dance parties. Tours of the city's LGBTQ+ landmarks are conducted by veteran drag queens. In February, the famous Mardi Gras also takes place here.

Amsterdam's Pride features street parties and sports events. The main event will be the boat parade on August 3 at noon, starting at Oosterdok. This year's theme is "Together," emphasizing the importance of diversity and support.

San Francisco Pride is one of the largest celebrations in the US, attracting around a million participants. The final weekend includes the parade on June 30 at 10:30 a.m. and the Beacon of Love party at 1 p.m. This year's grand marshal is Billy Porter.

São Paulo Pride is the largest in the world, attracting up to 3 million participants. Celebrations begin a week before the main event, which takes place on June 2 on Paulista Avenue.

Madrid's Pride, the largest in Europe, attracts around 2 million participants. The main events take place in the Chueca neighborhood, with the main demonstration on July 6.

Berlin Pride, also known as Christopher Street Day, takes place at the end of July. The parade, attracting around a million participants, will be held on July 27. The event features DJs and outdoor performances.

Taipei Pride is the largest in Asia, attracting up to 180,000 participants. The parade is held in October and is accompanied by parties in the city's top gay bars.

These Pride festivals are ideal destinations for tourists who want to support the LGBTQ+ community and enjoy unique cultural events.
