Mandy, a traveler known on social media as "Mandy Your TikTok Mum," had been dreaming of traveling on the Caledonian Sleeper to the Highlands for 20 years, but her trip turned out to be a disappointment. The woman had planned to wake up in picturesque Fort William after a long journey, but the rain ruined her plans.

Her dream vacation started to unravel in the middle of the night. Due to heavy rain and flooding, the train was forced to stop in Edinburgh, several hundred miles from its destination. The tourist shared her experience on TikTok.

"I didn't expect to wake up in Edinburgh. Of course, we can't control the weather, but it was very stressful," Mandy shared her emotions.

The 50-year-old traveler received a partial refund of the ticket price, but still lost £180 for her berth on the train.

At 5 a.m., she was awakened by the conductors, who served her tea, yogurt, muesli, and a cereal bar. Following that, the passengers were informed that the train would not continue due to the severe weather.

"I will learn from this experience: just because something is expensive doesn't mean it's good," the traveler concluded.

Mandy did make it to Fort William and enjoyed the scenery of Scotland, but the incident with the train stop left an unpleasant aftertaste in her memories.
