The flight attendant shared what she would never do during a flight
Anyone who has ever traveled by plane knows that it's important to arrive well in advance of the flight to avoid missing it, to bring something to entertain yourself with, like a book, and obviously to bring snacks.
But there are other important aspects that we may have never thought about that can greatly enhance our flight experience. A blogger with the handle @cherdallas has been working as a flight attendant for the past five years, traveling all over the world, and she has definitely learned a lot during that time.
Dallas's first piece of advice was to never wear shorts on a flight. While comfort is important for traveling, she argues that most flights are too cold for shorts to be comfortable, and if there is an emergency and passengers have to exit the plane, those in shorts may not be appropriately dressed, especially for sliding down a rough emergency slide.
The second piece of advice offered by the blogger concerned the time between connections - there should be a sufficient break between them. While we all know by now that we need to arrive at the airport early to catch our flight, too many of us have booked flights too close together and missed our second flight due to airport navigation, long lines, or because our first flight was delayed.
But the most important advice from the flight attendant was about airplane toilets, namely toilet paper. Since the restroom is in a flying object, cleanliness is not always maintained to the standard of a standard public bathroom. For this reason, it is always better to use your own wipes rather than toilet paper in the bathroom, which often has water droplets or what "looks" like water droplets on it.
As TravelWise previously reported, according to a new study by the recruiting platform Jobseeker, the most popular dream job in North America is flight attendant.
