The most beautiful beaches in Poland: where to go on holiday
The Polish travel website Travelist has published a rating of the most beautiful beaches in the country. The portal has been compiling the list for 10 years in a row.
This year, the rating includes six beaches located in the Pomeranian region - from Świnoujście to Mielno, Wyborcza.pl. reports.
This time, on the occasion of the rating's anniversary, the editors decided to give the vote to the tourists themselves. Several thousand votes were used to create a national list of the top 10.
The beach in Świnoujście is the most beautiful in Poland
The beach in Świnoujście has been on top of the ranking since the beginning of its existence. The local beaches are a great place not only for sunbathing and sea bathing, but also for active recreation. The KiteFORT school is located near the Młyny pond - the first and only base for SUP, windsurfing and kitesurfing in the Western Pomeranian region.
Kołobrzeg
The beach in Kołobrzeg took second place in the published ranking. After years of reconstruction and revitalisation, the beaches of the largest Baltic resort have become the pride of the Polish coast and a magnet that attracts tourists to Kolo, regardless of the season.
The wide (sometimes more than 100 m), sandy and clean beach, surrounded by a range of holiday entertainment and amenities, attracts more and more sunbathers every year.
The most beautiful beaches in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship
The fourth place in the Travelist rating went to the beaches in Mielno. The authors of the classification evaluated not only the beach itself, but also the proximity of Lake Jamno, which is appreciated by water sports enthusiasts, and the Przyjazna promenade stretching along the Baltic Sea.
Międzyzdroje
Międzyzdroje, which is called the "Polish Monte Carlo", took seventh place in the ranking. The popularity of this place is evidenced by the fact that the number of tourists during the season exceeds the number of permanent residents by seven times.
Ustronie Morskie
There, from the clean sandy beach, you can admire a beautiful cliff and get to two pedestrian piers - one at the level of the fishing harbour and the other between Ku Morzu and Nadbreżna streets.
Grzybowo
The authors of the rating appreciated the fact that the Baltic Sea is calmer here than in other resorts, thanks to the 7-kilometre-long Grzybowo Bay. "Cleanliness and safety standards are guaranteed by the Blue Flag certificate." In addition, the city is located in a protected landscape area, surrounded by forests, so sunbathing is a real pleasure here.
The remaining places in the ranking are occupied by beaches located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship: Cheł (3rd place), Ustka (5th), Leba (6th) and Jastrzębie Góra (10th).
