Loch Ness is best known for being home to the mythical creature from Scottish folklore, the Loch Ness Monster. That is why it is often visited by tourists.

Numerous sightings of the beast have been recorded over the decades, contributing to the influx of travellers. Recently, a tourist posted on TripAdvisor that he was disappointed not to see the monster.

The tourist wrote a review: "I went swimming in Loch Ness. It was quite cold there. Spent a whole week there and never saw a monster. The man in the shop told us that if we sat absolutely still on the bench, we would most likely see it, but we didn't see anything. A lot of people were in and out of the store, and they were usually laughing quite loudly, which might have scared it away."

Another disappointed tourist wrote: "There was no monster. As I eagerly scanned the horizon with binoculars glued to my eyes, all I could see were a few ducks and an enthusiastic fisherman trying to catch his dinner."
