From June 14 to June 20, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will implement multiple lane closures and service changes across various transportation facilities, including the George Washington Bridge, Holland Tunnel, Lincoln Tunnel, Bayonne Bridge, and Goethals Bridge. Additionally, travelers using Newark Liberty Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport should expect significant delays and are advised to plan accordingly.

Security screening delays are expected at Newark Liberty Terminal B from Monday morning through Friday night due to equipment upgrades. Passengers should arrive early to accommodate extended wait times. Meanwhile, construction at JFK Airport continues, prompting travelers to use mass transit as roadway changes and detours are in effect.

Lane closures at key crossings will further impact travel. The George Washington Bridge will experience multiple overnight lane closures from June 14 to June 15, affecting both eastbound and westbound traffic. The Holland Tunnel will see closures on the New Jersey-bound tube overnight from June 17 to June 20, with additional nightly lane closures affecting eastbound traffic. Similarly, the Lincoln Tunnel will have tube closures on June 15 and from June 17 to June 19, redirecting traffic as necessary.

Air travelers are advised to be aware of ongoing projects at JFK Airport, which are part of a $19 billion redevelopment plan. The JFK Expressway is closed for travelers to Terminal 1, and for-hire vehicle pickups at Terminal 5 are relocated to Terminal 7. Parking adjustments and dedicated areas for individuals with special needs have also been established. For more details on JFK’s construction impacts, visit Construction.JFKAirport.com.

PATH train services are also undergoing changes. On weekends through late June, trains bound for World Trade Center and Hoboken/33 St will bypass Grove St station for rehabilitation work, with additional trains running between Exchange Pl and World Trade Center. Free shuttle services are available for passengers with reduced mobility during these times.

To mitigate delays, the Port Authority recommends the use of mass transit and pre-booking parking spaces. Travelers should stay informed about service changes and allow extra travel time to navigate the affected routes and facilities efficiently. For detailed information on all planned closures and travel tips, visit the Port Authority’s official website.
