A truck crashed into a Lufthansa plane at Frankfurt Airport
Lufthansa's Airbus A321 sustained significant damage in a collision involving a truck at Frankfurt Airport on January 13.
The incident took place after the aircraft had landed following a flight from Dusseldorf.According to Frankfurtflyer, similar incidents have occurred at the airport before.
Following its arrival, the Airbus A321 was being serviced by a Gate Gourmet catering vehicle. However, the driver mistakenly collided with the fuselage, causing damage to the aircraft's body.
The plane sustained serious damage and requires repairs. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as passengers had already disembarked from the cabin.
The A321 had to be taken out of service for some time until the perforated side was repaired.
As you may recall, this is the second incident at Frankfurt Airport in recent months involving accidents with ground vehicles.
