Passengers on two Jet Blue airplanes were forced to change their travel plans Thursday morning after the planes collided on the runway at Logan Airport. A JetBlue plane was taxiing onto the de-icing strip on Thursday morning when it collided with the tail of another JetBlue plane on the adjacent runway, the airline said in a statement. The collision damaged one of the plane's wings and the tail of the other.

No passengers or crew were injured during the incident, and both aircraft were taken out of service for repairs. Passengers on two flights, 777 to Las Vegas and 551 to Orlando, will be flown on other planes, Boston 25 News reports.

"Safety is a priority at JetBlue, and we will work to determine how and why this incident occurred," the airline said in a statement.

Passenger Dave Sauter told Boston 25 News that he was en route to Las Vegas to work at a Super Bowl event when the incident occurred after they pulled away from the gate. According to Sauter, the plane was overcrowded. He was waiting on the runway to return to the gate when Boston 25 spoke to him.

"The left wing of a JetBlue 777 Airbus A321neo struck the right horizontal stabilizer of JetBlue 551 Airbus A321 at about 6:40 a.m. local time on Thursday, February 8, while on the de-icing pad at Boston Logan International Airport," the FAA said. "The FAA will conduct an investigation.
