The powerful Typhoon Yagi is causing major disruptions to air travel in Vietnam, particularly in and out of Hai Phong. Vietjet, one of the country's largest airlines, has announced flight cancellations and rescheduling due to the storm's impact. On September 7, several flights at Cat Bi Airport were either suspended or delayed, affecting domestic routes as well as international flights to Seoul, South Korea.

Among the changes, eight flights have been suspended, while four others have been delayed, including those traveling between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong. The disruption extends to other airports, such as Van Don and Noi Bai, with further updates expected as the typhoon continues to impact the region.

For travelers, this news has significant implications. Those planning trips through affected airports may face extended delays, cancellations, or changes to their itineraries. Passengers with flights during this period are advised to regularly check the status of their trips using Vietjet's mobile app or website. Furthermore, the potential for further disruptions at other airports in Dong Hoi and Vinh adds an additional layer of uncertainty for travelers navigating Vietnam during this time.

Airlines, including Vietjet, are working to adjust their operations to prioritize passenger safety. While efforts are being made to reschedule flights once conditions improve, travelers should prepare for possible continued delays and ensure they have flexibility in their travel plans.

In light of the typhoon's impact, it is recommended that travelers stay informed and plan accordingly. Whether for business or leisure, having real-time updates is essential to navigate the situation effectively and minimize inconvenience.
