United Airlines and Delta Air Lines have temporarily suspended flights to Tel Aviv amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. The decision follows renewed conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which has led to increased security concerns for travelers and crew members.

United Airlines, which operates daily flights from Newark to Tel Aviv, announced the suspension starting from the evening of July 31. The airline cited the need to evaluate the situation and prioritize the safety of its passengers and staff. Delta Air Lines, operating from New York JFK to Tel Aviv, also paused its flights until August 2.

This move comes after a similar suspension last year when the conflict between Israel and Palestine affected flight operations. United Airlines resumed its Tel Aviv service in March, only to suspend and restart it again by June. Delta followed suit by reinstating its flights from JFK shortly after.

Currently, the only airline maintaining direct flights between the United States and Israel is El Al. The ongoing conflict has also led to cancellations of flights to Beirut by several airlines, including Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Air France, and Royal Jordanian, among others.

As the situation in the Middle East continues to evolve, it remains uncertain when United and Delta will resume their Tel Aviv routes. Passengers affected by these suspensions are advised to stay updated through the airlines' communication channels.
