Update on visas in the UAE: advantages of the new system through Emirates Health Services

The authorities of the United Arab Emirates have taken significant steps to streamline visa renewal services. Particularly, individuals can now utilize the services of the Emirates Health Services platform to access the required services.

According to local government officials, these innovations will significantly simplify the visa renewal process, especially in terms of locating the nearest testing centers in a specific emirate. Going forward, individuals can quickly identify the nearest testing point close to their residence, as reported by the Khaleej Times.

As part of the authorities' decision, mandatory testing during visa renewal is categorized into three groups for both old and new residents of the country.

Category A: Encompasses employees, companies, and workers, with a service cost of AED 260.

Category B: Includes men employed in hairdressing and beauty salons, health clubs, and healthcare facilities, with a service fee of AED 250.

Category C: Covers nannies, domestic workers, nursery and kindergarten teachers, as well as employees of hairdressing and beauty salons, health clubs, and medical institutions. The service fee for these workers is AED 360.

It is noteworthy that the test duration is 30 minutes, and residents typically receive the report and results within 1-2 days.
