Vietjet’s Hanoi-Shanghai Route Expands Travel Opportunities
Vietjet is set to launch a new direct flight route between Hanoi and Shanghai on April 29, 2025, improving connectivity between Vietnam and China. This expansion is expected to accommodate the increasing demand for travel between the two nations, facilitating both business and leisure trips. With daily flights available, passengers will now have a more efficient and direct travel option, reducing the need for stopovers and layovers, making international journeys more seamless.
The flight schedule has been designed with convenience in mind. Departing from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 21:15, the aircraft reaches Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 01:15 the next day. The return flight leaves Shanghai at 02:15 and arrives in Hanoi at 04:45. This timing allows passengers to maximize their time in both cities, catering to those who need to continue their journey promptly upon arrival.
This new route will provide travelers with easier access to one of the most economic and culturally active centers in China. Shanghai has a lot of places to visit — from an iconic Bund skyline to its numerous historic neighborhoods and superior shopping streets such as Nanjing Road. Business travelers will also benefit from improved access to Shanghai’s financial districts, fostering stronger commercial ties between the two nations.
Beyond Shanghai, Vietjet's network is expanding to more travels in China as well. Visitors can now reach other major cities, such as Beijing and Guangzhou, with greater ease. These destinations offer a blend of cultural heritage and modern attractions, from ancient palaces to bustling markets, ensuring that travelers have diverse experiences to explore. The increased connectivity will also fuel tourism growth, with more tourists coming to both countries.
The launch of this non-stop flight marks a major leap forward for accessibility and transit efficiency. Now that you can reduce stopovers and more options in travel, travelling between Vietnam and China is so much more convenient. With continued expansion in the aviation industry, such developments not only gain frequent flyers but pave the way for new tourism ventures that help bring cultural exchanges and economic partnerships between the two countries.
