Virgin Atlantic Marks 40th Anniversary with the Launch of "Ruby Rebel" Aircraft

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Virgin Atlantic has unveiled "Ruby Rebel," a new aircraft named in tribute to the pioneering spirit of Virgin Group founder Richard Branson. The airline, renowned for challenging the status quo in the aviation industry, continues to embody the innovative and rebellious spirit that has characterized its operations since its inception.

"Ruby Rebel" will be Virgin Atlantic's fifth Airbus A330neo, joining the fleet in May 2024, under the registration G-VSRB. This addition not only signifies the airline's commitment to expanding its modern and efficient fleet but also introduces a brand-new flying icon inspired by the ethos of rebellion. The design elements pay homage to Branson's multifaceted career, incorporating symbols from his ventures in music, space exploration, and more, underscoring the adventurous and boundary-pushing philosophy of the airline.

Shai Weiss, CEO of Virgin Atlantic, emphasizes the airline's journey from a bold challenger in 1984 to a leading global carrier, all while maintaining its distinct "red spirit."
