Wizz Air Expands Sustainability Ambassador Program for Second Term
Wizz Air, recognized as the world's most environmentally sustainable airline, announced today the launch of the second term of its WIZZ Sustainability Ambassador program. This announcement coincides with World Nature Conservation Day, highlighting the airline's commitment to eco-friendly initiatives. The program encourages employees to engage in local sustainability projects, fostering eco-friendly practices and sharing valuable insights with their colleagues.
The inaugural term of the program, which was a pioneering initiative in the aviation industry, saw significant achievements. Wizz Air selected three outstanding employees from different bases, rewarding those who showed the highest levels of engagement, organized the most educational campaigns, and facilitated impactful charity events.
For the new term, which will begin in September 2024, Wizz Air will select Sustainability Ambassadors from 15 different bases across its network. These ambassadors will continue to drive the company's sustainability efforts by participating in and promoting various environmental initiatives.
