A flight operated by the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air from Kutaisi, Georgia, to Barcelona was turned back due to reports of "explosives on board."
Shortly after departure, which occurred at 12:45 local time, the crew announced that the aircraft had to return to Kutaisi, as reported by Echo of the Caucasus.
The airport's press service explained that the reason for the return was a report received by the airline regarding a suspected explosive on board. Upon receiving this information, the crew decided to land the aircraft in Kutaisi.
One of the passengers was a journalist. According to him, after landing, the flight attendants asked them to disembark immediately and did not allow them to retrieve their luggage.
