Wizz Air Launches New Route from Sofia to Heraklion, Crete
Wizz Air, renowned as one of Europe's fastest-growing and most eco-friendly airlines, has officially announced the introduction of a new summer travel route. Starting from June 24, this service will connect Sofia, Bulgaria's bustling capital, to the cultural haven of Heraklion on the island of Crete. Travel enthusiasts can now book their journey via the airline's website or mobile app, with fares commencing at a competitive BGN 59.
This new route is set to operate twice weekly, with flights scheduled every Monday and Friday, providing an ideal gateway for Bulgarians and international travelers to explore the rich historical tapestry and vibrant local culture of Heraklion. The city, known for its picturesque landscapes and historical significance, offers a perfect blend of ancient artifacts and modern leisure activities.
Heraklion is celebrated for its well-preserved Old Town, featuring an exquisite mix of Venetian and Ottoman architecture.
